ccAdvertising and the Iowa Caucuses - January 6, 2012 |
 |
|
|
In the 2012 Iowa caucuses, ccAdvertising was retained by Independent Expenditure clients to employ our databases, Artificial Intelligence Call (AIC) surveys, Mobile Phone Channel (MPC) programs and advocacy tools and methods. We communicated with Iowa voters to educate "social conservatives" and other "conservatives" in the state.
Attached are several graphics that were featured on page A6 of the Washington Post from January 5th. It shows the distribution of votes for Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney and the other Republican Candidates in the Iowa Caucus. Items to note:
- ccAdvertising focused our Artificial Intelligence Call (AIC) advocacy tools and particularly our Mobile Phone Channel (MPC) communications efforts in areas outside of the major metro areas in the state.
- As the map shows, Mitt Romney did best in the major metro areas where ccAdvertising's clients did not target.
- Rick Santorum did best in the rural areas of the state where our clients targeted and communicated with Pro-Life and Pro-Marriage and other conservative constituents.
- There was a record turnout (122,224 votes cast) in the Iowa Caucuses this year (3,307 more voters or 3% higher than in 2008).
- ccAdvertising's clients targeted all constituents in the Landline Network and Mobile Phone Channel (MPC), not just those homes in the voter files. ccAdvertising has been gathering respondent data in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida and nationwide for the past decade.
- When our clients use this program to target issues constituents, voter turnout is always higher ranging from 3% to 12%, increasing our clients' or their causes' vote total.
- ccAdvertising and our clients are usually the only organizations or groups targeting and turning out these valuable constituents.
- This process helps our clients win more elections. ccAdvertising databases, systems and processes help them turn out more like minded voters than the competition even knows exist.
25% of what ccAdvertising does is gather the data. 75% of what we do is use it to support our client's goals
