  President Obama vs. Republican Candidates in 2012
ccAdvertising has initiated a series of nationwide surveys to both landline and mobile phones regarding possible general election showdowns between President Barack Obama and a Republican candidate for President in 2012. These surveys will be conducted over the next few weeks and their purpose is to monitor the amount of support for each possible Republican candidate.
  Election 2012 - President Barack Obama vs. Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels
On December 21, 2010, ccAdvertising completed surveys asking respondents which candidate they would support if the race was between President Barack Obama and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels.

If the November 2012 election were held today and the candidates for President were President Barack Obama or Governor Mitch Daniels, 43.01% of respondents indicated that they would vote for President Barack Obama, while 35.71% indicated that they would vote for Mitch Daniels and 21.28% of respondents would not vote for either candidate.

When asked party identification, 44.05% of respondents are Republican, 35.41% are Democrat and 20.54% are Independent.

The responses to the survey reflect 78.44% of registered Republicans "self-identified" as Republicans, whereas only 73.13% of registered Democrats "self-identified" as Democrats, producing a statistical difference of about 5%.

In addition, the survey measured voters' preferences on other important issues. 34.83% of respondents considered themselves members of the Tea Party Movement, while 55.33% believe that Congress should repeal the healthcare bill, 85.49% of respondents do not want Congress to let taxes go up for all Americans, 59.57% are pro-life, 66.19% are traditional marriage supporters and 65.48% are Second Amendment supporters.

Demographically, of all the survey respondents asked, 43.34% are male and 69.31% are 50 years of age or older. 10,649 people participated in this survey. The margin of error is +/-3%.

ccAdvertising also examined the results in the states that vote first in the Presidential primary calendar:

In Iowa, 45.52% of respondents would vote for President Obama, while only 32.09% of respondents would vote for Mitch Daniels and 22.39% would not vote for either candidate.

In New Hampshire, 54.10% of respondents would vote for President Obama, while only 27.87% would vote for Mitch Daniels and 18.03% would not vote for either candidate.

In South Carolina, 42.06% of respondents would vote for President Obama, while only 40.48% would vote for Mitch Daniels and 17.46% would not vote for either candidate.
