ccAdvertising Survey in Arkansas - October 11th, 2010 |

On Monday, October 11th, 2010, ccAdvertising completed surveys to landline and mobile phones in Arkansas regarding several competitive political races in the state. ccAdvertising examined voter preferences on the Governor, U.S. Senate and Congressional races in Arkansas' 1st and 2nd districts. *Please see the attached PDF for more detailed breakouts and information on each of the races.

Statewide - Gov (Beebe-D +11.69%) Senate (Boozman-R +14.53%) |

In the race for Governor, incumbent Democrat Mike Beebe has a 11.70% lead over Republican Jim Keet. Beebe received the support of 47.90% of respondents while Keet received 36.20% and 15.90% were undecided.
In the race for the U.S. Senate, Republican John Boozman has a 14.53% lead over incumbent Democrat Blanche Lincoln. Boozman received the support of 51.71% of respondents while Lincoln received 37.18% and 11.11% were undecided.
President Obama's favorability rating stands at 37.76%.
When asked party identification, 35.78% of respondents are Republican, 34.07% are Democrat and 30.15% are Independent.
In addition, the survey measured voters' preferences on recent national issues. Support of the Tea Party movement is at 22.68% while 77.32% believe that Congress should repeal the healthcare bill, 72.05% of respondents are pro-life, 80.68% are traditional marriage supporters and 81.16% are Second Amendment supporters.
Demographically, of all the survey respondents asked, 47.71% are male and 69.29% are 50 years of age or older. 2,124 respondents participated in this survey. The margin of error is +/-3%.

Arkansas - 1st Congressional District - (Crawford-R +5.47%) |

In the race for Congress, Republican Rick Crawford has a 5.47% lead over Democrat Chad Causey. Crawford received the support of 40.66% of respondents while Causey received 35.19% and 24.15% were undecided.
President Obama's favorability rating stands at 32.61%.
When asked party identification, 37.73% of respondents are Republican, 35.90% are Democrat and 26.37% are Independent.
In addition, the survey measured voters' preferences on recent national issues. Support of the Tea Party movement is at 20.20% while 62.88% believe that Congress should repeal the healthcare bill, 75.15% of respondents are pro-life, 85.93% are traditional marriage supporters and 81.21% are Second Amendment supporters.
Demographically, of all the survey respondents asked, 37.71% are male and 75.09% are 50 years of age or older. 1,601 respondents participated in this survey. The margin of error is +/-3%.

Arkansas - 2nd Congressional District - (Griffin-R +21.33%) |

In the race for Congress, Republican Tim Griffin has a 21.33% lead over Democrat Joyce Elliott. Griffin received the support of 52.36% of respondents while Elliott received 31.03% and 16.61% were undecided.
President Obama's favorability rating stands at 36.06%.
When asked party identification, 40.88% of respondents are Republican, 30.28% are Democrat and 28.83% are Independent.
In addition, the survey measured voters' preferences on recent national issues. Support of the Tea Party movement is at 20.75% while 65.94% believe that Congress should repeal the healthcare bill, 72.59% of respondents are pro-life, 78.21% are traditional marriage supporters and 81.67% are Second Amendment supporters.
Demographically, of all the survey respondents asked, 45.67% are male and 62.22% are 50 years of age or older. 2,484 respondents participated in this survey. The margin of error is +/-3%.
