ccAdvertising Survey in Colorado - October 1st, 2010 |

On Friday, October 1st, 2010, ccAdvertising completed surveys to landline and mobile phones in Colorado regarding several competitive political races in the state. ccAdvertising examined voter preferences on the Congressional races in Colorado's 3rd, 4th, & 7th districts. Based on the results, Republican enthusiasm for the election is high in Colorado as is evidenced by the high self-identification of Republican voters surveyed. *Please see the attached PDF for more detailed breakouts and information on each of the races.

Colorado's 3rd District - (Tipton +23.36) |

In the race for Congress, Republican Scott Tipton has a 23.36% lead over incumbent Democrat John Salazar. Tipton received the support of 53.44% of respondents while Salazar received 30.08% and 16.48% were undecided.
President Obama's favorability rating stands at 36.74%.
When asked party identification, 44.79% of respondents are Republican, 22.83% are Democrat and 32.38% are Independent.
In addition, the survey measured voters' preferences on recent national issues. Support of the Tea Party movement is at 28.45% in the district while 63.40% believe that Congress should repeal the healthcare bill, 58.52% of respondents are pro-life, 67.33% are traditional marriage supporters and 79.20% are Second Amendment supporters.
Demographically, of all the survey respondents asked, 46.81% are male and 68.52% are 50 years of age or older. 3,193 respondents participated in this survey. The margin of error is +/-3%.

Colorado's 4th District - (Gardner +12.43) |

In the race for Congress, Republican Cory Gardner has a 12.43% lead over incumbent Democrat Betsy Markey. Gardner received the support of 47.15 of respondents while Markey received 34.72% and 18.13% were undecided.
President Obama's favorability rating stands at 43.66%.
When asked party identification, 43.13% of respondents are Republican, 25.45% are Democrat and 31.41% are Independent.
In addition, the survey measured voters' preferences on recent national issues. Support of the Tea Party movement is at 23.49% in the district while 56.53% believe that Congress should repeal the healthcare bill, 55.23% of respondents are pro-life, 59.18% are traditional marriage supporters and 67.78% are Second Amendment supporters.
Demographically, of all the survey respondents asked, 45.41% are male and 63.77% are 50 years of age or older. 2,743 respondents participated in this survey. The margin of error is +/-3%.

Colorado's 7th District - (Perlmutter +7.38) |

In the race for Congress, incumbent Democrat Ed Perlmutter has a 7.38% lead over Republican Ryan Frazier. Perlmutter received the support of 44.08% of respondents while Frazier received 36.70% and 19.22% were undecided.
President Obama's favorability rating stands at 49.07%.
When asked party identification, 33.86% of respondents are Republican, 34.02% are Democrat and 32.13% are Independent.
In addition, the survey measured voters' preferences on recent national issues. Support of the Tea Party movement is at 17.83% in the district while 49.60% believe that Congress should repeal the healthcare bill, 51.37% of respondents are pro-life, 53.68% are traditional marriage supporters and 64.93% are Second Amendment supporters.
Demographically, of all the survey respondents asked, 47.12% are male and 59.21% are 50 years of age or older. 2,375 respondents participated in this survey. The margin of error is +/-3%.
