ccAdvertising Survey in Wisconsin - October 6th, 2010 |

On Wednesday, October 6th, 2010, ccAdvertising completed surveys to landline and mobile phones in Wisconsin regarding several competitive political races in the state. ccAdvertising examined voter preferences on the Governor, U.S. Senate and the 7th and 8th Congressional District races. *Please see the attached PDF for more detailed breakouts and information on each of the races.

Wisconsin Statewide - Gov (Walker-R +9.34) U.S. Senate (Johnson-R +7.36%) |

In the race for Governor, Republican Scott Walker has a 9.34% lead over Democrat Tom Barrett. Walker received the support of 48.23% of respondents while Barrett received 38.89% and 12.88% were undecided.
In the race for U.S. Senate, Republican Ron Johnson has a 7.36% lead over incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold. Johnson received the support of 49.77% of respondents while Feingold received 42.41% and 7.82% were undecided.
President Obama's favorability rating stands at 48.30%.
When asked party identification, 38.24% of respondents are Republican, 30.34% are Democrat and 31.34% are Independent.
In addition, the survey measured voters' preferences on recent national issues. Support of the Tea Party movement is at 17.56% in the district while 51.23% believe that Congress should repeal the healthcare bill, 62.15% of respondents are pro-life, 65.39% are traditional marriage supporters and 63.03% are Second Amendment supporters.
Demographically, of all the survey respondents asked, 43.69% are male and 68.85% are 50 years of age or older. 1,978 respondents participated in this survey. The margin of error is +/-3%.

Wisconsin's 7th District - (Duffy-R +15.89%) |

In the race for Congress, Republican Sean Duffy has a 15.89% lead over Democrat Julie Lassa. Duffy received the support of 51.31% of respondents while Lassa received 35.42% and 13.27% were undecided.
President Obama's favorability rating stands at 42.13%.
When asked party identification, 38.85% of respondents are Republican, 26.99% are Democrat and 34.16% are Independent.
In addition, the survey measured voters' preferences on recent national issues. Support of the Tea Party movement is at 21.01% in the district while 58.96% believe that Congress should repeal the healthcare bill, 73.06% of respondents are pro-life, 70.34% are traditional marriage supporters and 72.68% are Second Amendment supporters.
Demographically, of all the survey respondents asked, 45.53% are male and 69.66% are 50 years of age or older. 1,648 respondents participated in this survey. The margin of error is +/-3%.

Wisconsin's 8th District - (Ribble-R +14.34%) |

In the race for Congress, Republican Reid Ribble has a 14.34% lead over incumbent Democrat Steve Kagen. Ribble received the support of 49.75% of respondents while Kagen received 39.76% and 10.50% were undecided.
President Obama's favorability rating stands at 42.99%.
When asked party identification, 40.09% of respondents are Republican, 25.32% are Democrat and 34.59% are Independent.
In addition, the survey measured voters' preferences on recent national issues. Support of the Tea Party movement is at 19.82% in the district while 58.84% believe that Congress should repeal the healthcare bill, 72.94% of respondents are pro-life, 72.36% are traditional marriage supporters and 75.20% are Second Amendment supporters.
Demographically, of all the survey respondents asked, 44.66% are male and 65.60% are 50 years of age or older. 2,053 respondents participated in this survey. The margin of error is +/-3%.
