President Obama, Weekly Poll Performance |
 |
During 2011, ccAdvertising has been tracking how Barack Obama compares against named, generic, unnamed Republican and, in this survey, fictional candidates. Since July 2011, Obama has not polled greater than 46% support, regardless of the candidate he opposes. Obama's support has ranged between 36% and 46%. This is a significant statistic, reflecting that the pending Presidential election is currently more about how Barack Obama is defined and less about his opponent, even if that opponent is not a real or known candidate.
