Republican Candidate Support in Early Primary States |

ccAdvertising has initiated a series of weekly surveys, to both landline and mobile phones, to gauge current levels of support for possible Republican presidential candidates in early primary voting states. As this project continues over the next several weeks, this survey series will compare no more than three potential GOP candidates chosen randomly and in different combinations.

On Monday, February 14, 2011, ccAdvertising completed surveys asking respondents who they would support as a Republican presidential candidate in 2012 between Mitt Romney, Mitch Daniels and Rick Perry. 12,548 people participated in the survey.
The following charts show the support for each candidate from Republican voters and Independent voters:
Iowa Republicans vs. Independents
Michigan Republicans vs. Independents
New Hampshire Republicans vs. Independents
Nevada Republicans vs. Independents
South Carolina Republicans vs. Independents
In consideration of recent events surrounding the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords at a "Town Hall" meeting she held, when asked 66.48% of respondents said that they would attend a public "Town Hall" meeting held by their member of Congress.
Demographically, of all respondents:
44.71% are Republican
26.98% are Democrat
28.31% are Independent
34.72% are Tea Party supporters
52.51% support the repeal of Obamacare
76.56% are anti-tax
57.04% are pro-life
62.49% are traditional marriage supporters
64.91% support gun owner's rights
46.02% are male
62.09% are 50 years of age or older
