Republican Candidate Support in Early Primary States |

ccAdvertising has initiated a series of weekly surveys, to both landline and mobile phones, to gauge current levels of support for possible Republican presidential candidates in early primary voting states.

On Monday, March 7, 2011, ccAdvertising conducted surveys gauging support of potential Republican presidential candidates in 2012, between the four candidates most strongly supported in surveys conducted from February 6 to March 1, 2011: Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, and Newt Gingrich. 14,356 people participated in the survey.
The following charts show the support for each candidate from Republican voters and Independent voters:
Iowa
Michigan
New Hampshire
Nevada
South Carolina
In light of the recent events in Ohio and Wisconsin, 45.67% of all respondents believe that states pay union employees too much money.
89.83% of all respondents feel that the changes currently engulfing the Middle East are positive changes.
Demographically, of all respondents:
- 45.33% are Republican
- 28.94% are Democrat
- 25.73% are Independent
The responses to the survey reflect 68.79% of registered Republicans "self-identified" as Republicans, whereas 67.19% of registered Democrats "self-identified" as Democrats, producing a statistical difference of 1.60%.
- 32.29% are Tea Party supporters
- 52.75% support the repeal of Obamacare
- 73.14% are anti-tax
- 56.98% are pro-life
- 61.06% are traditional marriage supporters
- 64.14% support gun owner's rights
- 44.34% are male
- 66.69% are 50 years of age or older
