  Cain, Gingrich, and Romney vs. Obama - November 21, 2011

ccAdvertising has initiated a series of weekly surveys, to both landline and mobile phones, to gauge current levels of support for possible Republican presidential candidates nationwide.

On November 20-21, 2011, ccAdvertising conducted surveys comparing popularity among presidential candidates Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, and Mitt Romney against incumbent President Barack Obama. 12,300 people participated in the survey. The following charts show the support for each candidate:


Herman Cain: 37.12% • Barack Obama: 45.83% • Undecided / Other: 17.05%



Newt Gingrich: 42.27% • Barack Obama: 45.21% • Undecided / Other: 12.52%



Mitt Romney: 45.83% • Barack Obama: 43.66% • Undecided / Other: 10.51%

Demographically, of all respondents who participated in surveys conducted November 20-21:

  • 36.70% are Republican.
  • 32.37% are Democrat.
  • 30.93% are Independent.
  • 44.12% have a favorable opinion of President Obama.
  • 29.67% are supporters of the Tea Party.
  • 29.90% support the Occupy Wall Street movement.
  • 82.64% are concerned about the U.S. losing its AAA 'Best in the World' credit score.
  • 73.59% support off-shore drilling.
  • 31.48% are concerned about losing their job.
  • 38.57% feel that they are better off now than they were four years ago.
  • 75.64% are anti-tax.
  • 59.65% are pro-life.
  • 61.81% are traditional marriage supporters.
  • 64.48% support gun owners' rights.
  • 48.99% use Facebook.
  • 10.83% use Twitter.
  • 46.70% are male.
  • 63.26% are 50 years of age or older.
